It’s been three weeks since I’ve started at ANI and I’m already picking up a lot as well as achieving a few new certifications…

    I was never really strong with SQL, at least, I used to be able to say that. In the last three weeks I have picked up a lot of knowledge in SQL Server and databases in general as I have been getting settled in at ANI. My trainer, Rob has been testing me daily with new queries throughout the database as a way to learn SQL and be prepared for the job ahead. This lead me to enrolling in the Microsoft SQL Server Professional Certification course offered through Coursera and happily I’d like to announce that I have completed and achieved that certification. I still have quite a lot to learn and still this is only a stepping stone on to what I have planned for myself. For example, my next steps is to begin studying Azure Data and learning how to maintain databases through Azure. Then I will be looking to take on that certification as well. I’m hoping that I can work towards establishing our databases via the cloud to help with strengthening our security and access. But we’ll see that in time. 

In other news, I have been getting ready for the trip in November to Live!360. I can’t wait for this goal to be realized and I can’t wait to share this experience with you all
